Whether you're on Yardi Breeze or Voyager, the Rent Roll (or Unit Directory) report exports the current-state data NestBord's importer consumes: property, unit, rent, tenant, and lease dates.
1. Export from Yardi
- Run the Rent Roll report across your properties (in Breeze: Reports; in Voyager your administrator may need to run it).
- Export to CSV or Excel. If Excel, open in Google Sheets or Excel and download as CSV.
- Yardi exports often include grouping headers and subtotal lines per property — delete those so the sheet is one header row plus one row per unit. Keep a property name or address column on every row.
2. Import into NestBord
- Open Settings → Import Data and upload the file (or paste from Sheets).
- Confirm the column mapping. Yardi header styles vary by version — anything the automatic mapping misses, the AI assistant or the per-column dropdowns handle in seconds.
- Preview, then import. Re-running the same file later is safe — already-imported units are skipped.
Notes for larger portfolios
- The importer takes up to 2,000 rows per run — split bigger portfolios by property group and run multiple imports.
- Import properties first if you prefer: rows without tenant emails just create the property and unit, and you can onboard tenants building by building afterward.
- Ledgers, documents, and history stay in Yardi — export what you need for your records.
Migrations are free — email support@nestbord.com with a redacted sample of your export and we'll map it with you.
