Creating a listing (with AI description)

Pick a vacant unit, let NestBord write the description, and publish. Photos inherit from the property automatically.

A listing is the public advertisement for a vacant unit. It lives at listings.nestbord.com/<your-org>/<slug> and is the page prospective tenants see when they click through a syndication link, email, or social post.

Start the form

Open Listings → New. The unit dropdown only shows units currently marked Vacant or Listed — if yours isn't there, mark it vacant first.

When you pick a unit, two things happen automatically:

  1. Description is generated. Our AI writer reads the unit's facts (beds, baths, square footage, amenities, property name and address) and drafts a 2-3 paragraph description. No questions, no placeholder text — a finished draft you can tweak.
  2. Photos are pulled from the property. You see a read-only preview in the sidebar. No upload step.

Dial in the details

Set the available date, pet policy and lease term. Default pet policy is "Pets allowed" — change to "Cats only" or "No pets" as needed. Rent pre-fills from the unit's rent amount; you can override it for the listing if you're running a specific promo.

Publish

Create the listing as a draft first. Review, tweak the description if needed, then publish. Syndication partners (Kijiji, Rentals.ca, Zumper) pick up published listings on their next sync — if your org has those integrations configured.

Regenerating the description

Don't love the AI's first attempt? Click Regenerate below the textarea to get a different draft. Or just edit the text directly — it's a normal editable field.
